Essay Topics on Racial Profiling

Essay Topics on Racial ProfilingRacial profiling is a term that is very popular on college campuses these days. Even though I have not yet seen the term used in public speech, I believe it to be one of the most overused terms in recent times. Perhaps its frequency has something to do with the fact that people assume that a black man has to go through more in life than other individuals. This assumption is wrong and racial profiling is an overuse of an incredibly powerful term.Racist profiling is a common activity performed by law enforcement officials and private citizens alike. It usually involves a person trying to spot the location of the perpetrators before they strike again. No matter how innocuous the intentions are, what is being examined are aspects that are rooted in white supremacy. I say 'root' because the process centers around observation rather than evidence. Anything that appears to be unruly or suspicious is then subjected to scrutiny until a person has found somethin g that they believe is their 'norm'.Its a common occurrence to see a person writing an essay about the issue of racism after a tragedy occurs. Even after seeing a very sad event, we still find ourselves focusing on what could have been and that focusing the attention away from the person who had the misfortune of being a victim. Essays that address the subject of racism are often written by those who had nothing to do with the incident. It is unfortunate that people assume that there is a lack of power in writing essays about racial profiling essay topics. While some people may feel this way, the reality is that racial profiling is a problem that requires solving. The concept is a serious one and will need to be addressed in a thorough manner. The problem is that while civil rights issues have been raised in some cases, they are not typically related to the issue of policing. So, when an author is writing about a recent or ongoing incident, they may inadvertently emphasize something t hat is not a problem that needs solving. It is important to understand that in some cases the person who committed the crime had nothing to do with the current situation. When dealing with different circumstances, it is also vital to be careful of the tone in which you use the word 'racism'. Some people, especially those who are not black, believe that saying the word 'racism' can set off a negative response in them. The truth is that saying the word racism could be the best thing you can do for the people you are addressing.Often, when people say the word racism, they are referring to a form of bias that some people engage in. Saying the word implies that it is not acceptable to prejudge another person based on the color of their skin. Ultimately, the language that is used in the essay should be indicative of the issue that was raised. When looking at essay topics about profiling, it is important to note that the focus should be not on the perpetrators of the crimes but on the racist behaviors that led to the crimes. It is also important to consider the history of the current situation. It is very important to know how the institution came to be as it is now before you write the essay.
